Challenge Overview
The Global Accounts Payable Tracking System (GAPTS) is an iSeries (AS/400) application for handling payments to invoices associated to the customer leasing contracts. The application has several tightly coupled interfaces for receiving invoice data from external sources and sending them to the Global Contract Management System (GCMS) for contract processing. The GCMS application would like to automate a part of their downstream processing by having the GAPTS application invoke the Auto-Create COA service via MQ after the invoice response is returned from GCMS to GAPTS. To ensure the MQ request for the Auto-Create COA is delivered, the MQ requests will be configured to send a Confirmation of Delivery (COD) to a queue in GAPTS. For this development, the GAPTS application requires a new MQ interface to pick up and process the incoming COD.
