Challenge Overview
e-config is an application based on Java, MS VC++, MS VB 6 and some other technologies, this application needs a tool to diagnose and figure out the errors using the registry, log files and the environment variables related to it.
The main purpose of this tool is to collect the related registry settings of the e-config application along with its log files and the related environment variables and sends all of that to a configurable email address, the package will be send can be divided into many parts depends on the size and number of the files will be send.
The package can be send to more than one email address.
Also the package should to have its own log file to trace its functionality
The tool should to run under Windows 7 32 bit, Windows 7 64 bit, Windows XP and Windows Vista.
The user interface should be easy and usable because the end user will be a regular user with low level technical knowledge
MS Visual C++ version 2008 or MS Visual C++ 2010 are the preferable programing languages can be used to develop this tool.
Submission Deliverables: (No Milestone)
- Conceptualization Document
- a fully complete conceptualization document.
- A .tcuml file for the use case diagrams
- All original artifacts referenced in your conceptualization document such as visio diagrams.
