Challenge Overview

Project Overview

We've already developed an iOS app that integrates with API's from LinkedIn and Facebook to provide information about a user's friends, contacts and connections, thus the user could search recommended jobs for contacts and send private messages about the jobs to them.

Challenge Overview

--The goal of this competition is to focus on testing the iOS app. All use cases in the provided test scenarios(storyboard) must be tested.
--You should focus on testing the functions as well as usability.

Submission Requirements

--Please check the app challenge forum first to understand the current limitations which are not bug, e.g. login and job search are mocked.
--As issues are identified they need to be logged in Jira(https://apps.topcoder.com/bugs/browse/MILO).
--When entering issues, they must go under the Marcomm iOS App component(https://apps.topcoder.com/bugs/browse/MILO/component/13850)
--Issues must include clear descriptions, test cases and steps to reproduce and expected vs. actual results in order to be counted.
--First competitor to find an issue gets credit, duplicates will not be counted.
--The copilot will accept, reject or mark the issues as duplicate.
--Please DO take a look at the reported bugs, duplicated bugs cost your work time and the reviewer's time.
--Please also submit standard usability issues (ie: usually iOS apps allow you to interact a certain way, this one doesn’t)

Device Requirements

--iOS 7+
--iPhone 5+
--No jailbroken devices allowed
--Important: The app is designed for phones, but should function on tablets as well. Please test on actual devices and not on emulators.

Prizes & Scoring

--1st Place - $800
--2nd Place - $400
--For scoring, the submitter with the most accepted bugs will win. The 2nd submitter with the 2nd highest amount of accepted bugs will win 2nd place.
--For submitters who submit but don't take 1st place or 2nd place, if they submit bugs that aren't covered in the 1st place or 2nd place submission, they will receive $5 for each unique bug reported up to a maximum of the 2st place prize ($400).

Technologies

--iOS 7+
--iPhone
--Ionic
--Cordova
--AngularJS

Final Submission Guidelines

If you do not properly document your bug reports, they will likely be rejected due to lack of information or documentation. Also, make sure your bug reports are reasonably general.

If you submit the same bug that is seen in multiple screens, for instance, you will likely only get credit for the original bug report. The others will all be closed as duplicates.
