Challenge Overview

1. Project Overview

Business-to-business or B2B as it is commonly written describes commerce transactions between businesses, such as between a manufacturer and a wholesaler, or between a wholesaler and a retailer. Such B2B system is the existing one, called PDI CHAOS express portal (PXV2) which is subject to a redesign process. PDI CHAOS express portal (PXV2) is an E-commerce website that allows for contracted customers to be able to purchase hard-goods and gases online.

This competition will define the test scenarios for the customer user role as described in the conceptualization document and demonstrated in the UI Prototype.

  • Asking questions early and getting feedback is very important for the success of this competition.
  • Raise questions if you feel anything is confusing, or if you have any questions on the provided documentation (Copilot and PM will be available to answer questions).

2. Contest Objective

The goal of this competition is to develop a quality assurance plan and test scenarios to ensure that the requirements are met and the application works correctly. The plan and scenarios should test the application requirements for both positive and negative cases.

You must prepare the plan and scenarios document by considering all pages/screens present in the prototype.

6. Payment

TopCoder will compensate members with first and second place submissions. Initial payment for the winning member will be distributed in two installments. The first payment will be made at the close of the approval phase. The second payment will be made at the completion of the support period.

Winning Submission and Second Place payments are shown at the top of the contest page.

7. Contest Prize Eligibility

TopCoder will compensate members with first and second place submissions that have a Review score of at least 75.


8. Competitor Restrictions

CCA is required for the current project.

9. Standard Support

Standard 30 days support is required.



Final Submission Guidelines

10. Submission Deliverables

  • Test Scenarios Document which is a word document that's compatible with Microsoft Word.
  • QA Plan Document which is a spread sheet that's compatible with Microsoft Excel.

11. Final Submission

  • Your final submission must contain a single .zip file with all the submission deliverables.
  • For each member, the final submission should be uploaded to the Online Review Tool.
  • You must not include any identifying information, such as your handle, in your submission. Your submission should be anonymous and you will be scored down in screening for not complying.
