Challenge Overview
Specification reviews are currently carried out as separate projects in Online Review (OR). This assembly will integrate the specification reviews into the parent project in OR by making them a new set of phases. There will be two new phases called 'Specification Submission' and 'Specification Review' and these phases will complete before the Registration phase opens. The new phases will behave similar to the Final Fix / Final Review by inserting new pair of Specification Submission / Specification Review each time the specification is rejected. The new phases will be optional so that the projects in OR can still start with the Registration phase.
Also, submission entity will be modified to include the submission type. There will be two types for now: 'Contest Submission' and 'Specification Submission'. All existing submissions and the handling code will default to 'Contest Submission' type. The 'Specification Submission' type will be used for specifications uploaded in Specification Submission phase.
Also, the OR will not use the Contest Dependency Automation anymore. This means that when timeline of a project changes it will no affect linked projects anymore.
Finally, the OR will be modified to allow for a phase being dependent on both the fixed start time and another phase.
