Challenge Overview
For each component design and component development TopCoder provides a distribution which includes directory structure, build files, requirements documents etc. Creating these distributions manually for each component is very laborious and so a special tool was developed to automate the process. Originally the tool was a command line utility written on C++, and later a Java component has been developed to replace the old tool. The new component provides the API for an application to create distributions automatically.
The Auto Distribution Generation assembly will integrate the distribution generation component into the Project Management console in the Online Review and will provide an easy way for users to create and upload design and development distributions. The assembly will also change the way the distributions are provided for competitors. The distributions will not longer be uploaded to the forum, instead they will be uploaded to the server as a new Documentation type (see below).
Final Submission Guidelines
- For each member, the final submission should be uploaded to theOnline Review Tool.
- Submissions must include all deliverables as specified above.
