Challenge Overview

Project Overview:

Welcome to the FAST!! 48Hrs - Mediafly Sales Kit Responsive HTML5 Prototype Challenge! The goal of this challenge is to create a Responsive HTML5 Prototype application template design for iPad and iPhone based on provided wireframe using Bootstrap.

Tips for Success: Asking questions early and getting Copilot or PM's feedback is very important for the success of this challenge.

IMPORTART: As per the project schedules the review timelines are very close, please note the post submission timelines for further reference.

Competition Task Overview:

The main task of this competition is to develop a Responsive HTML5 prototype with base template designs. We don't have storyboard designs for this challenge, so it is not necessary to match the pixels (you could refer color styles from wireframe). Your prototype must work properly in all the required browsers.

Required Pages:

Below are the required pages in both Portrait and Landscape orientations.

1. Overall Template Design:

  • -All pages should support responsiveness.
  • -Follow wireframe for style and show logo, search icon, page title at header.
  • -Support swipe left/right to go to previous/next page on pagination pages given below for demonstration.
  • -Support left menu flyout on all pages.

2. Left Menu Flyout:

  • -Menu icon should float on the left edge.
  • -Tapping on the menu icon should open the Menu.
  • -Tapping on the menu icon again should close the Menu or the user can press 'close' option in the Menu to close the menu flyout.
  • -The Menu should include options for:
    • -SalesKit Home (i.e. link to the App Home screen)
    • -New Presentation (i.e. link to the New Presentation page)
    • -Open Presentation (i.e. link to Presentation Manager screen)

3. App Home Screen:

  • -User opens the application and will see the home screen.
  • -Show three options:
    • -Resume Last Presentation
    • -Open a Saved Presentation
    • -Start a New Presentation
  • -If user selects Resume then navigate to the Presentation Manager page.
  • -If the user selects Open then navigate to the Presentation Manager page.
  • -If the user selects New then navigate to the New Presentation page.

4. Presentation Manager:

  • -List of presentations should include Company, Contact name and Last Edit Date.
  • -Provide method to delete a Presentation (and the corresponding data set) and also prompt to confirm before deleting.
  • -If the user clicks on a Presentation then jump to the “New Presentation page” which will populate actual data later.
  • -Click on "Create a New Presentation" link, navigate user to the New Presentation page.

5. New Presentation Page:

  • -Follow wireframe style for these pagination pages.
  • -Use image placeholder with sample image as per wireframe.
  • -Populate sample data for dropdown options.
  • -Show pagination at bottom and support swipe left/right to go to previous/next page.
  • -Show 'More' and 'Save' buttons without any actions for now.

Specific HTML/CSS/JavaScript Requirements:

  • -Your HTML code must be valid HTML5 and follow best practices
  • -Validate your code - reviewers may accept minor validation errors, but please comment your reason for any validation errors. Use the validators listed in the scorecard.
  • -Use CSS to space out objects, not clear/transparent images (GIFs or PNGs) and use proper structural CSS to lay out your page. Only use table tags for tables of data/information and not for page layout.
  • -No inline CSS styles - all styles must be placed in an external style-sheet.
  • -Use semantically correct tags - use H tags for headers, etc. Use strong and em tags instead of bold and italic tags.
  • -Element and Attribute names should be in lowercase and use a "-" or camel naming to separate multiple-word classes (i.e. "main-content", or "mainContent")
  • -Label all CSS, JavaScript, or HTML hacks with explanations so others will understand.
