Competition Task Overview
We've built windows services to collect log file metrics / server performance / database server metrics and in the previous challenge we integrated these services with the dashboard database via message queue.
In this challenge we want to enhace the code to have more features:
- Add a new windows service to collect our application server metrics as described in the provided document we provide in the forum. This will basically be about executing some queries
- Make the services configurable, i.e. we should be able to turn on / off any metric(s) from configuration. For example: we can only turn on log file metrics or both, and this should apply to the new metrics below
- Make sure the queries are configurable so we can easily change the queries and add / remove queries in the future
Similar to the existing code, the metrics above should be send to the data receiver in the same way as the other metrics.
VM
You'll need a VM to access the application, post in the forum to request one.
