Private Competitions

Currently, there are two types of private competitions held within Studio:

1) Private competitions which are only open to a select group of competitors, such as the contest holder’s employees or a focus group. These competitions are not open to the Studio community.

2) Private competitions which are open to the Studio community and require extra documentation to compete.

These competitions contain sensitive material from our clients that can only be released to competitors who sign a non-disclosure or other documentation to protect the material. You ll need to complete a few extra steps before you can compete.

  1. Contest holders post generalized information about the competition to the Contest Details page. A general competition forum is also created.
  2. If a member is interested in the competition, they should download the documentation they need to sign as soon as possible.
  3. Once completed and signed, members need to send their documentation to a special email address where TopCoder can approve it.
  4. After the documentation is approved, the Client’s manager will add the member to the private contest forum, where all of the contest information will be posted (full contest details and all files the member needs).
  5. Members submit to the contest as usual, but the submissions are not shown after the contest ends.
  6. Members use the private forum for all questions and discussions regarding the private competition.

Remember – because of the extra steps, you should register and return your documentation as soon as possible.
