Before You Compete …

This Will Only Take a Moment.

We know you’re excited to enter a Studio competition, so let’s get you set up! Once you’ve found a challenge that interests you, we recommend registering as early as possible so you can begin working on your submission and ask question in the forums.

In order to participate, you’ll need to become a TopCoder Studio member. Becoming a member is free and allows you access to areas on the site that are not open to the public. Studio membership offers plenty of great competitive opportunities for designers and artists.

Although it doesn’t prevent you from registering and competing, you also need to complete and return to us a written assignment document. This is a one-time action, that allows TopCoder to pay you, and allows the customer to have access to your winning design immediately upon choosing a winner and paying for it – and you never transfer assignment rights to your work unless it wins and you’re paid for it.

Ready to join? Let’s get started!

  1. Go to www.topcoder.com/reg/ to register. Be sure to click the Studio box.
  2. Login to Studio and download your Assignment Document from the “My Studio” tab or get a copy below.
  3. Read, sign and return your Assignment Document for processing.

That’s it! Once you’re registered as a Studio member, you can compete in any Studio competition.

Note: You can compete in Studio competitions before you return your Assignment Document, but we will not be able to process any winning placement payments until you’ve returned it. It’s best to take care of this step now, but it’s OK if you can’t get to it yet. You’ll be reminded to return it each time you submit to a contest.

How to Submit your Document

DOWNLOAD ASSIGNMENT DOCUMENT

You may submit the assignment document by email, fax, or mail.

For submission by email, send a clear and legible scan or photo of the entire page (completed, signed, and dated) as an attachment to payments@topcoder.com.

For submission by fax, you may fax the completed, signed, and dated form (without a cover sheet) to:
