CMS Status Report for week of Oct 18, 2012

Hi All: Highlights for this week include:

1. Client is experiencing difficulties downloading wireframe submissions.  Topcoder to come up with an alternate methodology to facilitate viewing
2.  Client to use the milestone feature in Topcoder’s Direct application to enter key milestones for producing assets and documents for required elements
3. Topcoder to show client how to view bug race progress in Direct
4. Alternate strategies to be pursued in addition to smart cloud set-up

Oct 22 – Nov 2:

  • Client (Dan) will be using the milestone feature in Topcoder’s cockpit application to note documentation or assets and the dates by which they are required.  Topcoder will review and ensure that the timelines are met.
  • Requires client time, input and assistance to:
    • Review of Services Module (architecture) and completed assembly contests
    • Review of UI, administrative features and business rules specification contests
    • MN to provide details for integration with MNITS (WSDL)
    • WSDL for NetStudy
  • Monitor forums

Nov 3 – Nov 9:

  • Continue review of UI components, architecture and assembly contests
  • Review proof of concept contest results for JPBM 5 and WAS updates (at risk – see r5) – we continue to have difficulty getting the right resource
  • Continue discussion on open issues

Risk:IBM License test requires time to conduct test and review results. If the results are not as expected, a new/alternate strategy/discussions may be requiredAction: Expedite testing by using an IBM copilot to set up smart clouds, enabling POC testing on the IBM stack.

Issue: Client is concerned that feedback to UI wireframes are not being reflected and client is having trouble tracking which wireframes reflect feedback given by Angie.Action:  Topcoder is running short bug races to make wireframe changes.

Update:  Andy to show Dan how to follow bug races in Cockpit.  Topcoder’s James will update the demo box twice weekly with wireframe updates (on a scheduled basis where possible)

Risk: A significant number of new provider organizations have been provided by client in mid-late September timeframe.  As a result the time to complete the UI wireframes that included these new organizational types has increased.Action:  Run the required organizational wireframes contests as aggressively as possible, including in parallel where possible, or with very short periods between contests where parallel is not possible.

Issue:Death master file access: will not be available. For development purposes, it will be assumed that a file will be uploaded weekly or monthly and a webservice utilized to process the file.  A simple screen interface will be created to facilitate the upload.

Issue:  Developers require API access to 3rdsites to check for licensing and other authorization information Update (Aug 16, 2012):  MN DHS and CMS (state and federal health agencies respectively) are looking into getting API access.
